Fall Suicide Support Groups in Fort Dodge and Sioux City

Suicide Support Groups will be offered at two locations this fall. Both are free, 6-week series open to people of all faiths and backgrounds.

The Fort Dodge group, held Monday evenings from Oct. 9 - Nov. 13, will be facilitated by Darla McEnroe, LMSW and Lisa Conner, LMHC, NCC. The Sioux City group, held Tuesday evenings Nov. 7 - Dec. 12, will be facilitated by Benita Triplett, LISW and Nathan Phillips, LMHC.

The groups are open to anyone over 18 who has lost a family member or friend to suicide over 30 days ago. Clinical Director Benita Triplett encourages loved ones struggling from such a loss to join. “More people than ever have lost someone close to them by suicide. Through this group, we will provide hope and support for moving forward in your journey through grief and loss. The groups are held in caring, comfortable and confidential settings in which you can listen, share and connect with others to build an on-going support system."

One recent participant said, “You learn so much being part of a group. It was more helpful than I ever thought it would be.”
