Fort Dodge Suicide Support Group

Updated: Jan 17

Therapists at our Fort Dodge location will offer a Suicide Support Group this winter with the first of six meetings on Feb. 12.

The group is open to anyone over 18 who has lost a family member or friend to suicide over 30 days ago. Supervisor/Therapist Darla McEnroe, LMSW, will facilitate the group and encourages loved ones struggling from such a loss to join. “More people than ever have lost someone close to them by suicide. Through this group, we will provide hope and support for moving forward in your journey through grief and loss.”

There is no cost to join. Meetings will be Mondays, Feb. 12 – Mar. 18, 2024, from 5:15 – 6:45 p.m. at 1414 Central Avenue in Fort Dodge (across from the movie theater). Membership will remain the same for the entire session.

Darla explains, “My co-facilitator, Lisa Conner, LMHC, NCC, and I will provide a caring, comfortable and confidential setting in which you can listen, share and connect with others to build an on-going support system.”
