Suicide Support Group begins April 4

A Suicide Support Group will be held this spring, with the first of six meetings on April 4, 2023.

The group is open to anyone over 18 who has lost a family member or friend to suicide 30 days ago or longer. Clinical Services Director Benita Triplett, LISW, encourages loved ones struggling from such a loss to join. “Through this group, we will provide hope and support for moving forward in your journey through grief and loss.” Benita will co-facilitate the group with therapist, Nate Phillips, P-LMHC.

There is no cost to join. Meetings are six consecutive Tuesdays, April 4 – May 9, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the Sioux City location, 1601 Military Road. The group will be closed, meaning membership will remain the same for the entire session. Benita explains, “we will provide a caring, comfortable and confidential setting in which you can listen, share and connect with others to build an on-going support system.”
