I love working at Catholic Charities because of the sense of community here. Our team cares about each other - and does what they can to help one another - even if not part of the job description. For instance, when a co worker’s spouse was going through cancer treatments, another co-worker took time on a day off to help her paint, something she wanted to get done but wasn’t able to do on her own.
I also appreciate that my time off from work is truly my time off. When I am not here, I don’t get phone calls about work. If I am gone from work, I know not only is my job taken care of, my clients are as well. When I am sick, my clients are triaged and rescheduled. They are able to use the on-call line to get help in a crisis, I don’t have to worry about my clients when I am away.
I love working at Catholic Charities because of the mission statement. We are able to help empower and strengthen clients while also taking care of ourselves. It offers a sense of family and the feeling of being valued as a person as well as an employee.
