Spring Suicide Support Group in Sioux City

A Suicide Support Group will be offered at Catholic Charities at the Sioux City location this spring. The free, 6-week series is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Meetings will be held Tuesday evenings Apr. 16 - May 21 and facilitated by Benita Triplett, LISW and Nathan Phillips, LMHC.

The group is open to anyone over 18 who has lost a family member or friend to suicide over 30 days ago. Clinical Director Benita Triplett encourages loved ones struggling from such a loss to join. “More people than ever have lost someone close to them by suicide. Through this group, we will provide hope and support for moving forward in your journey through grief and loss. The groups are held in caring, comfortable and confidential settings in which you can listen, share and connect with others to build an on-going support system."

“You learn so much being part of a group. It was more helpful than I ever thought it would be" , shared one participant.

Meetings are 5:30 - 7 pm at our Sioux City location at 1601 Military Rd.

To join, email info@cathchar.com or call 712.252.4547.
