Angeline's Wing

Supporting Children and Families Through Compassionate Care

Catholic Charities has always put families and youth at the center of its mission, from placing children in loving homes to providing critical mental health care. Our services aim to:

  • Strengthen and empower families

  • Heal trauma and renew hope

  • Provide safety and mend relationships

  • Keep families together

In response to the growing mental health challenges children face today—like anxiety, depression, and behavioral struggles—we remain steadfast in safeguarding their well-being. Through our faith-driven, compassionate care, we help children heal and thrive.

Thanks to a generous estate gift from Angeline Thom of Ashton, a devoted Catholic who blessed us with this opportunity, we are building Angeline's Wing.  Other grants and donations are also making the project possible, including the MRHD Economic Development Match Grant of $1 million and a number of other generous individuals and businesses.

This dedicated space will provide children and adolescents with a welcoming, faith-reflective environment to receive care. With bright colors, age-appropriate therapy spaces, and room to grow, Angeline's Wing will foster comfort, healing, and hope for the youth we serve.

Stay tuned for progress updates!

Together, we are building a future where every child can thrive.

A Very Special Prayer

Bishop Nickless composed a special prayer to commemorate the groundbreaking and blessing of Angeline's Wing. Prayer cards were distributed to all attendees. Download the prayer and join us in praying it to ask God’s help in providing children the necessary support and care for their earthly journey.
