Catholic Charities will offer a free, six-week parenting course this fall, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025.
Led by Nathan Phillips, LMHC, NCC, Clinical Supervisor of Child and School-Based Services, Parenting the Love and Logic Way® will equip parents with practical tools to strengthen relationships, build confidence and create a calmer, more respectful home environment.
Developed by Jim Fay, Charles Fay, Ph.D., and Foster W. Cline, M.D., of the Love and Logic Institute, Inc., in Golden, Colorado, the curriculum blends empathy with effective strategies for handling everyday parenting challenges. Nate is an Independent Facilitator of the Parenting the Love and Logic Way® program.
“This course is a great fit for parents in every stage—whether you’re just starting out or looking to get things back on track,” Nate said.
Classes will be held Tuesdays, Sept. 16 through Oct. 21, 2025, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at our Sioux City location, 1601 Military Rd. Participants may attend in person or join virtually if they live outside of the area.
